Getting Your Puppy Home
Three ways to do it, none of them involving a cargo hold. Whichever you choose, your puppy travels with its paperwork, its current food, and something that smells of its litter.
1. Collect In Person — $0
The option we recommend to anyone within driving distance. You come to us in Bowling Green, Kentucky, by appointment. Allow an hour: we hand over the folder, walk you through the feeding schedule, show you the crate routine the puppy already knows, and answer whatever you have thought of since your last message.
- Meet the dam and see where the puppy has been living
- Bring a crate and a towel; we will provide a blanket carrying the litter's scent
- Balance settles on the day, before the puppy leaves
- Best time to collect is morning, so the puppy has daylight to settle at home
2. Ground Delivery To Your Door — $300
A courier who transports dogs for a living drives your puppy directly to your address. This suits families within roughly a day's drive and anyone uneasy about air travel.
- Door to door, with rest, water and toilet stops every two to three hours
- You receive the driver's contact details and a departure time the day before
- A short written note of the journey is handed over with the puppy
- Typical window is 24–48 hours depending on distance
3. Flight Nanny To Your Airport — $250
Your puppy flies in the aircraft cabin, in a carrier under the seat, accompanied by a courier who does this professionally. It is never checked as cargo and never travels in a hold.
- Handed to you personally in the arrivals area — bring photo identification
- Flights are booked direct wherever one exists, to avoid a connection
- The fee covers the nanny's ticket, the carrier and the health certificate
- We avoid flying in extreme heat or cold and will delay rather than risk it
What Travels With Every Puppy
- Vaccination and deworming record, signed by our veterinarian
- Microchip number with registration already in your name
- AKC registration application and five-generation pedigree
- Copies of both parents' health-testing certificates
- A week's supply of the food the puppy is currently eating
- A blanket carrying the scent of the litter
- Your signed sales agreement and written health guarantee
Timing & Weather
Puppies do not travel before eight weeks of age under any circumstances. We will postpone a delivery rather than move a puppy through a heatwave, an ice storm, or a schedule that would leave it in transit overnight. If we delay for weather, no additional fee is charged and you are told as early as we know.
International
We deliver within the continental United States and to Canada. Canadian deliveries require additional health certification and border paperwork, take longer to arrange, and carry the actual cost of that paperwork on top of the delivery fee. Ask before you commit and we will quote you honestly.
