Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to make us delete it. We do not sell data and we do not run advertising trackers on this site.
What We Collect
Only what you type into one of our forms, plus the minimum our host records automatically:
- Contact and inquiry forms: your name, email, phone number, state, the puppy you asked about and your message
- Sales agreement: the above plus your full postal address, chosen delivery and payment methods, the agreement total and your drawn signature
- Automatically: standard web server logs kept by our hosting provider, including IP address and browser type
We do not ask for and never store card numbers, bank credentials or government identification numbers through this website.
Why We Collect It
- To answer your enquiry and discuss a puppy with you
- To prepare, execute and keep a record of a sales agreement
- To arrange collection or delivery
- To honour the health guarantee and the lifetime right of first refusal, both of which require us to be able to identify the dog and its owner years later
Where It Goes
Form submissions are delivered by email to our own mailbox through our own mail server. We do not use a third-party form service, and your submission is not stored in a marketing database. The only parties who ever receive your details are:
- Our hosting and email provider, as a processor
- A delivery courier, where you have chosen a delivery option — and then only your name, address and phone number
- Law enforcement or a court, where we are legally required to disclose
We do not sell, rent, trade or share your personal information for marketing purposes. Ever.
Cookies & Tracking
This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies. Some pages use your browser's local storage to remember a partly-completed form so a refresh does not wipe it — that data stays in your own browser, is never transmitted to us, and clearing your browsing data removes it. Fonts are served from this website's own server, so no third party receives your IP address when a page loads.
How Long We Keep It
- Enquiries that do not lead to a purchase: deleted within 12 months
- Sales agreements and buyer records: kept for the life of the dog, because the guarantee and the right of first refusal depend on it
- Server logs: retained by our host on their own schedule, typically a few weeks
Your Rights
Email info@jamesdobermanpuppies.com and you may ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you
- Correct anything inaccurate
- Delete your data — though where you have bought a puppy we will keep the minimum needed to honour the guarantee, and we will tell you exactly what that is
- Stop contacting you
We respond to requests within 30 days.
Children
This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Our forms are transmitted over an encrypted connection and our mailbox is password protected with two-factor authentication. No system is perfect; if we ever became aware of a breach affecting your information, we would tell you directly rather than quietly.
